Grass Finished Half Beef - deposit

$200.00

Final 2026 pricing will be based on $6.75/lb hanging weight (the weight after the inedible parts are removed). This single price applies to all cuts—including ground beef and tenderloin—so when price is allocated by value, your savings can be substantial. There are no additional butcher fees.

Hanging weight is typically 55–60% of live weight. That means a half animal from a roughly 1,200 lb steer will yield about 300–350 lbs of meat per half. These animals have never seen a feedlot, auction barn, or grain.

Why choose grass-finished beef?

  • Superior fatty acid profile: Grass-finished beef contains 2–4 times more omega-3 fatty acids than grain-fed beef, supporting hormonal balance, cognitive function, heart health, and reduced inflammation. Its omega-6 to omega-3 ratio is roughly 0.16:1 versus grain-fed beef which can exceed 20:1.

  • Higher CLA: Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), associated with anti-carcinogenic properties and potential weight-management benefits, is 3–5 times higher in grass-finished beef.

  • More vitamins and antioxidants: Grass-finished beef has greater levels of vitamin E, vitamin A precursors, and antioxidants like glutathione (GT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD), which support immune and cellular health.

  • Free from sub-therapeutic antibiotics and growth hormones: Our cattle are raised without these common additives, reducing your exposure to potentially harmful substances.

  • Better for animal welfare and the environment: Pasture-raised, grass-only diets support healthier animals and can improve soil health. Grazing systems reduce certain emissions and can be carbon negative.
